About Me

Firstly although I know about this stuff I am not perfect and have to work at it just like you.

I genuinely care about supporting others to be the best that they can be.

I have often learnt the hard way with many things by making mistakes along the way in both my professional and personal life.  But I truly believe it's not a mistake if you learn from it so I have grown and evolved as I have gone along.

I have 29 years of experience across both private, charity and health sectors in senior leadership roles providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to individuals and groups.

I left behind my career in marketing in to pursue my life goal to become a psychotherapist and help others feel better about themselves.

I am a registered Accredited Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).  I qualified as a Counsellor with a Diploma in Person Centered Counselling and then gained my Masters of Science in Integrative Psychotherapy.  I went on to become accredited by the BACP and am also now an EMDR therapist and a Supervisor.

I am also passionate about quality, which is why I am a member of the BACP who go to great lengths to ensure that Counselling and Psychotherapy services are provided safely and ethically.  If you would like to read more about how they do that have a look at their refreshed Ethical Framework online at http://www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework/new_ef.php
